2021 Election Petitions and Information

The following is information on how a candidate creates and distributes his/her digital petition single signature sheets, how a registered voter can fill out, sign & return those sheets, and then how a candidate can gather all the sheets & transmit the packet to you.   These single sheets must be accompanied with a traditional petition form that is signed and notarized as always even if all signatures are captured electronically. The state’s website has the single signature petition forms as well as several videos the State produced on how to use them.  Potential candidates looking for the single signature sheets in the section:  County and Municipal Petitions For Democratic and Republican Candidates

Candidates that are going to go straight to the General Election via the nominated by petition route have them use the single signature petition in the section: County and Municipal Petitions of Direct Nomination for the General Election

A candidate is under no obligation to use these single signature sheets if they don’t want to.  They can just use the traditional petition process if they choose.  The decision is up to them.
